I live in Oakville and I know and love my town.

Located along the shore of Lake Ontario, Toronto and Mississauga on the East and Burlington and Hamilton on the West, picturesque town of Oakville is famous for its vast green spaces, 150 km of trails and more than 200 parks, gardens, colorful waterfront and many of the best restaurants in GTA Oakville's history started earlier, but in 1827, Colonel William Chisholm purchased land at the mouth of Sixteen Mile Creek on Lake Ontario, later developing a shipbuilding yard and harbour in the area. Shipbuilding and lumber became important industries that soon attracted a variety of settlers. Oakville is home to a number of historic buildings in Bronte Village and Downtown Oakville. A walk through the historic streets of Old Oakville offers a first-hand look at its classic architecture. I love this part of Oakville history, it makes the town that much more special.

In 2012 Magazine "Toronto Life" named Oakville 1 of the 5 places you have to visit in GTA.

Oakville also Broadway Bound: Canada's renowned music theatre program at Sheridan College produces world-class theatre professionals and shows, including the smash hit and seven-time Tony nominee, Come From Away. Over 260 music, drama and various performances are staged every year in Oakville. Sports play an important role in town's history too. Both the Oakville Soccer Club and the Oakville Crusaders Rugby Club are the largest of their kind in North America. Oakville has about 83 soccer fields and 74 baseball diamonds, and was featured as a stop on the popular Rogers Hometown Hockey tour in 2017. Regarded as the "Home of the Canadian Open," Oakville has a variety of beautiful golf courses and facilities to choose from, suiting a range of skill levels.

Why would you want to live in Oakville beside all the reasons I named earlier? It's a very peaceful place with a lot of green spaces, great schools and activities for all ages. Many people who recognized the potential and beauty of this town are moving to Oakville these days. The town is a home to many museums, art galleries, and various cultural events. Another plus if you work outside of Oakville is that Oakville is very well connected to Toronto and Mississauga either you are commuting by car or using the public transport - train. But of course, you have good business opportunities in Oakville.

According to Money Sense Magazine, Oakville was ranked #1 in 2018 Canada's Best Places to Live, and not only overall, but also the best place for New Canadians, the third best place to retire and the fifth best place to raise a family.
